OBJECTIVES AND WHAT WE DO
GOALS
Develop a platform for accessing, recording and retrieving information to support research management and project advice for individuals and/or institutions with an interest in the area of research development and project management.
To be able to provide access to information on the preparation, management of open access projects and research, management and dissemination of open source information in the academic and institutional context.
To develop human potential – organizations and access – as trainers for the training of communities, institutions, organizations, participatory groups such as the development of research with open databases.
WHAT WE DO
This platform is structured with information that is available on the web with indication of access through access links or that can have access to software available online and / or with the use of free software, our objective was to create a space that could serve as many people and/or institutions as possible with access to research development and project management and information relating to the creation of ideas, project design, business, management, archiving and retrieval of information in order to support the development of people and cultural institutions the third sector, business and government.
Information or access to research tools, project management and support for project development, innovation or business creation will be articulated in two ways, through links which will direct you to the tools installed on the platform for authors or already existing sites available on the open/free web. The second will be through the links to the indicated tools. However, the information generated by users and institutions that use the PeAProjetos platform for their research development activities, project management can be open or private, and the release of access will be defined by the user or institution after permission for use. As for copyright issues, it will be up to the author to register and make the information available, responding civilly and criminally, exempting the platform managers. We will act as moderators for public use to prevent plagiarism of user-generated content. Thus, our intention is that the platform has interactivity between users, institutions and members of PeA Projetos.
In the management of information such as collections, contents and materials produced in the execution of projects designed, developed and managed by the PeAProjetos team, we use Koha, Dspace, AtoM, Omeka and in the area of distance education and training we have Moodle. For the preservation of documents (texts, images, etc.) and archiving in the field of Information Science, we are adopting AtoM (access memory) an archiving system in conjunction with another preservation tool, the online Archive of all documents involved in projects and can also be used by cultural groups, as long as they are public with other tools. These systems are already installed on the PeAProjetos platform.
All tools used on the PeAprojets website platform are open source. When accessing links from other tools or third-party sites, all users must obey the rules according to the sites from which the links originate. Thus, as tool brands, they must comply with the websites through links, therefore respecting the laws that are owned by third parties on copyright.

Information is all around us in everything we see, touch and use in our daily lives, this point of view aligns with the theoretical position of information as a thing defended by Burckland (1991).
